Throughout her career, Deborah has placed news stories with national and international media, including The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, Bloomberg Businessweek, The Washington Post, The Times (UK), International Herald Tribune, the Chicago Tribune, Newsweek, Los Angeles Times, USA Today, “Good Morning America,” the “Today” show, “PBS NewsHour,” CNN, NBC, “20/20,” “Nightly Business Report,” NPR, “Nightline,” and other major evening news programs.
She has provided public relations counsel for a range of high-profile cases and complex issues including the Fen-Phen litigation, World War II and Holocaust-related restitution cases, Iraqi contractor issues, Apartheid restitution efforts, Agent Orange Supreme Court case resolution, the Walmart sex discrimination lawsuit (Dukes v. Walmart), international trade and IP issues, as well as “qui tam,” real estate, tax, civil rights and employment discrimination and multidisciplinary practice matters. She was instrumental in publicizing the benchmark Texaco race discrimination lawsuit, which settled 11 days after the news first broke.
Deborah also managed media relations for the former law firm of Cohen, Milstein, Hausfeld & Toll PLLC for 22 years, developing its reputation as one of the most respected plaintiffs’ law firms in the U.S.
In addition to a master's degree in psychology/health education from Western Michigan University, Deborah holds a bachelor's degree in education from Boston University. She is based in Bethesda, Maryland.
