Why did we redefine PR as Public Reputation?
On Wednesday, January 6th, when we declared the death of Public Relations, the emails started flooding in...with congratulations and with questions, too. We are grateful for all of the kind words, and happy that so many of our industry colleagues and clients have found our site dynamic and informative. Indeed, we are a small business and perhaps it seems bold to announce the death of a term that's been around for a very long time. However, we too have been around for a long time, over 30 years, and the industry has changed again and again, never more than now with all of the conversations happening on the Internet. Law firms can no longer be effective by only marketing to one audience, by one means. A change has to happen, and we see that change in our new definition of PR -- Public Reputation. Law Firm Public Reputation means doing it right, choosing various techniques to reach a growing number of audiences.
We want to hear from you -- how are you reaching your audiences? What works, what doesn't?
