Increase Traffic with a Website Redesign

The Issue
Walsh Colucci Lubeley & Walsh PC, a Northern Virginia law firm with a focus on real estate development and land use law, has a thriving practice; however, its website didn’t exemplify its success. Built using Wordpress, the site suffered from a rudimentary design, functionality problems and a lack of responsiveness to mobile device browsers.
Walsh Colucci wanted its website to reflect not only the prestige of its brand but also the pride it has in its attorneys and their accomplishments. In addition, a website redesign would allow the site to serve as a foundation for the law firm’s future marketing and business development efforts. The firm decided to recruit Jaffe to give its website a much-needed makeover.
The site suffered from a rudimentary design, functionality problems and a lack of responsiveness to mobile device browsers.
The Strategy
From the outset, Jaffe’s digital team worked hand-in-hand with the firm to ensure a final product that exceeded expectations. We mapped out a user-friendly site architecture that would naturally encourage visitors to navigate through more pages on the site and planned improvements to the functionality of the firm’s locally focused real estate law blog. To make the site appealing and viewable on every device, we built the site using mobile responsive design.
Taking cues from the firm’s focus on real estate development law, our website designers envisioned a visual-heavy site with striking photos and a green-and-blue color scheme evocative of an open landscape. We presented the firm with several options based on this theme, allowing the client to choose from among various proposed design elements. Jaffe also arranged a photo shoot to create sharp new images for the attorney bio pages and other areas of the site.
Additionally, our digital specialists conducted a thorough keyword analysis, employed proven SEO strategies throughout the site and ensured that the best analytics tools were installed in the content management system.
Employ SEO tactics throughout the site to increase search engine visibility.
The Impact
Overall traffic increased by 15 percent in the months that followed the redesign, with a 22 percent boost in organic search traffic. The smart navigation structure and mobile responsive design significantly improved the user experience. In addition, the attorneys quickly began receiving praise from clients, colleagues and prospects that proved the new look of the website created the desired impression of a modern, forward-thinking firm. The site has since become the centerpiece of the firm’s broader digital marketing strategy, serving as a critical component of ongoing marketing and business development initiatives.
