Successful marketing efforts can sometimes put law firms at a larger cyber risk. On Tuesday, September 24, at 4:05 p.m., Terry M. Isner, CEO/Owner, Marketing & Branding, along with panelists Tracy Kraft, Kraft Kennedy and Montina Portis of CIA Media Group, will discuss “Stranger Things: Protecting Your Firm’s Marketing Efforts in the Upside Down.”
The panelists will talk about how firms not only become bigger targets through heightened awareness of their brands, but often work with outside marketing companies that may have weak cybersecurity programs, leaving the firm vulnerable to malware, ransomware, and other phishing and hacking attacks by digital-age Demogorgons and shadow monsters. The session will be moderated by Vesatee Merkerson, Patrick Law Group. The panelists will cover best practices for law firm marketing in today’s increasingly scary cyber landscape, including how to lock the gate on digital demons by controlling risk when making information publicly available, safeguarding social media accounts, protecting against account impersonation, implementing best practices for working with marketing vendors, and cybersecurity client communications and PR.
