Vivian Hood, CEO/Owner, Public Relations, recently spoke with the Wall Street Journal for a story on the proliferation of legal rankings. The article, which is titled "The Hottest Field in Law? Ranking the Lawyers," details the increase in the number of legal rankings over the last decade, which rose from 700 to an estimated 1,200. Spend on ranking submissions (including employee time) is $157,000 annually on average, according to a study released last year.
