Professionally Speaking

Debbie is passionate about unearthing hidden gems and creating compelling narratives to drive business growth and transformation. Beginning as a Navy journalist, followed by a decade as an award-winning commercial radio anchor and reporter, she honed her storytelling skills through situations including broadcasting during 9/11 in Dallas, Texas.

As a global financial news service journalist, Debbie often reported from Delaware bankruptcy court hearings and sifted through legal documents to create news summaries for subscribers. She also created strong relationships with attorneys and briefly considered becoming a lawyer after taking the LSAT.

Over two decades, Debbie also cultivated marketing, public relations and business development experience, from associate to COO positions. She engaged with celebrities, high-level donors and clients, devising and executing marketing and media strategies. She applied these skills to a personal coaching business, helping entrepreneurs harness social and mainstream media for maximum marketing impact through her writing, coaching and public speaking engagements.

Debbie is an author and podcast host with a global listenership spanning 30+ countries and holds awards from the National Federation of Press Women and the Associated Press, among others.

She believes everyone has a masterpiece story waiting to be crafted. In her experience, the alchemy of words and stories can drive profound transformation.

Kayaking, volleyball, golf, reiki; conducting sound healings; hiking mountains, petting elephants, being in nature; sharing Florida sunsets and laughing with my husband, son and daughter.

Personally Speaking

Debbie is an avid sound-healing practitioner and uses her voice and instruments to help others connect with their deep internal message. She is a big proponent of using positive energy for creation — the foundation for all of her writing and coaching — and enjoys conducting sound-healing events and accompanying yoga classes with her sound bowls and 4-foot gong, Genesis.

When she isn’t writing, coaching, making music or being physical in the great outdoors, Debbie spends time volunteering and helping with communications as a “band mom” for her kids’ school marching band, as well as volunteering for other causes whenever possible. She has a heart of service, was born a messenger, and is passionate about empowering others and having a positive impact with both spoken and written words.
