Jayne has over 25 years of experience partnering with law firms to connect with opportunities and advance business development. Beginning her career as an in-house marketing director, she transitioned 15 years ago to a virtual marketing professional and writer, specializing exclusively in the legal industry. Her focus gives law firms a competitive edge in building meaningful exposure, strengthening their brands and generating sustainable business leads.

With expertise spanning communications strategy, design, writing and editing, Jayne delivers content with presence and authority, guiding projects from concept to completion. She is known for crafting timely, targeted communications that engage audiences and drive results. Her portfolio includes feature articles, business books, executive briefs, directory submissions, award nominations, proposals, presentation decks, infographics, scripts, blog posts, biographies and practice descriptions.

Jayne is the author of social.lawyers: Transforming Business Development, published by Thomson Reuters. She has also served as a ghostwriter, executive editor and publisher for five additional books on legal topics, including employment law, bankruptcy and restructuring, and law firm history. Her honest, creative and responsive approach ensures her work aligns seamlessly with her clients’ goals.

Favorite Interests

Gardening, snorkeling, kayaking, biking, family and friends, and wine. Hiking with my (2) athletic poodles is a great workout. I also enjoy running them through agility courses.

Personally Speaking

Jayne is a lifelong dog enthusiast who has shared her life with a wide variety of breeds, including fox terriers, mutts, German Shepherds, Doberman Pinschers, Great Danes and basset hounds — often more than one at a time. While she loves all dogs, her heart was captured 20 years ago when she adopted a pair of miniature poodles — a male and female with exceptional intelligence, playfulness and hypoallergenic coats.

When her female poodle passed at 16, Jayne welcomed another into her home within two months. Later, when her beloved male poodle crossed the rainbow bridge at 19, she again completed the pair with a stunning inky-black moyen poodle.

Because she only has two dogs at a time, Jayne actively supports Carolina Poodle Rescue and House with a Heart Sanctuary, organizations dedicated to rescuing and caring for dogs in need.
