Professionally Speaking

Saki is a senior communications professional with experience in the education, energy, professional services and nonprofit industries. A former television reporter, Saki has learned to expect the unexpected. She is able to pivot quickly and adapt to an ever-changing work environment. Her love of storytelling helps in crafting media stories for clients.

As a Senior Vice President of Public Relations, Saki’s laser-sharp focus and attention to detail help her tell clients’ stories through the fast-paced and ever-evolving media demands. That business manner also helps Saki think quickly on her feet when responding to crisis situations and share information that allows clients to respond quickly to minimize the impact of negative publicity on their firms.

Previously, Saki worked at several global public relations agencies, developing and implementing strategic communications plans for Fortune 500 clients. She has served as a Public Information Officer and the official spokesperson for several companies, and is experienced at working with executives to prioritize media opportunities and prepare talking points, speeches, presentations and other supporting material.

Before entering the public relations industry, she spent seven years as a television news reporter for CBS affiliates in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and Beaumont, Texas. Saki is the immediate past president of the Public Relations Society of America’s Southwest District, representing thousands of PR professionals in 15 chapters in Arkansas, Kansas, Louisiana, New Mexico, Oklahoma and Texas. She holds an MBA from Texas Southern University and a BA in communications from the University of Houston.
