SVP, Marketing & Public Relations
From the “who, what, when, where, and why” of the newsroom to the strategic storytelling of corporate brands, Tommy Santora leverages a 25-year career as an award-winning journalist and legal marketing professional whose unique reach spans both the corporate and public sectors.
Tommy is a former news editor at several media publications and has led the communications and marketing for an AmLaw 200 firm, one of the oldest law firms in Louisiana, a global healthcare nonprofit, and a national education software startup. Tommy excels at translating this diverse experience into integrated public relations and marketing strategies that drive tangible results and increase corporate brand visibility. He manages the full communications spectrum from content development and media relations to internal and external marketing campaigns, client outreach, and business development.
Most recently, Tommy managed the marketing and communications for Adams & Reese, an AmLaw 200 firm with nearly 350 attorneys across 20 offices. Throughout his 13-year tenure, Tommy spearheaded content development – industry thought leadership articles, news and press releases, and website content, such as attorney bios and practice area descriptions.
A former journalist and editor, Tommy leveraged his storytelling expertise to write an average of 10 industry thought leadership articles per month, consistently achieving record readership and directly securing new clients and business growth. Tommy developed deep relationships with business and trade journal editors to secure consistent placements in local, regional, and national publications, and he led a rebrand communications plan that secured media of nearly 1 billion. Through optimized SEO and B2B engagement strategies, Tommy successfully grew media placements by 30% year-over-year and social media followers by more than 20% YoY. Tommy helped found the successful “Vets to Ventures” thought leadership blog series, which garnered new clients, led to partnerships with nonprofits, and earned a national legal marketing award.
In addition to working at Adams & Reese, Tommy served as the director of marketing and business development at Taylor Porter; the national communications chair for the Myasthenia Gravis Foundation of America (MGFA); the communications manager with MasteryPrep; a certified ACT and SAT teacher and tutor with The Princeton Review; a news editor for New Orleans CityBusiness; and a sports editor for The Daily Review.
Tommy is the recipient of three Legal Marketing Association awards and a journalist award from the Louisiana Sports Writers Association. Additional honors include “40 Under 40” from Gambit; “Health Care Heroes” from New Orleans CityBusiness; “Louisiana ACT and SAT Tutor of the Year” from The Princeton Review; and “Volunteer of the Year” from the Myasthenia Gravis Foundation of America.

Tommy has been married nearly 25 years to his former LSU Daily Reveille colleague and college sweetheart, Whitney Pierce Santora. They are parents to their second round of cats, Nina-Louise and Shirley, and forever always to JJ and Buttons, who they had for 16 years. A common phrase in their household is "Go Birds" – a Philadelphia Eagles fan since childhood, one of the happiest days of his life was Super Bowl LIX in New Orleans, when he saw in person the Birds hoist the Super Bowl trophy. His other “green” vice is Starbucks, where he starts each day with a Trenta Cold Brew (with light ice) before taking on the world.
